The Weir River is a river in the southeast of the Australian state of Queensland .
The source is west of Cecil Plains , approx. 200 km west of Brisbane and approx. 90 km west of Toowoomba . From there the river flows to the southwest through largely unpopulated area.
It reaches the border with New South Wales about 20 km northeast of Mungindi , where it joins the Barwon River , a source of the Darling River .
