Albert Glatigny , actually Joseph-Alexandre-Albert Glatigny , (born May 21, 1839 in Lillebonne , Seine-Maritime department , † April 16, 1873 in Sèvres , Hauts-de-Seine department ) was a French actor and writer.

Glatigny came from a simple family of craftsmen. He completed an apprenticeship as a printer, but then became an actor for a short time. Through his acquaintance with Théodore de Banville , he became familiar with modern literature and also made friends with some Parnassians .

With the support of Banville, Glatigny began to write himself and is now counted among the Parnassians. Catulle Mendès addressed Glatigny's life in a play in 1906 and also brought it to the stage.

Around five weeks before his 34th birthday, Glatigny died on April 16, 1873 in Sèvres.
