Christoph Sokoll (born May 9, 1986 in Wolfsberg ) is a former Austrian cyclist .

Athletic career

Sokoll began his career in 1997 at the HRC Wigo-Haus Wolfsberg association . As a junior driver, he finished third in the Austrian championships in 2004 and finished 90th in the road race of the world championships

At the 2006 World Championships , he finished 28th in the U23 road race. In 2007, he won the U23 overall ranking of the Austrian Radbundeliga.

In 2008, Sokoll moved to the Professional Continental Team Volksbank . In the first there, he won the U23 Federal Cycling League for the second time and was third in the national U23 road racing championships. Internationally he was second in the U23 edition of Rund um den Henninger-Turm and ninth in the overall ranking of the GP Tell . At the 2009 World Championships , he finished 68th in the U23 road race.

In 2009, Sokoll came third in the Raiffeisen Grand Prix . At the subsequent World Cup , he was appointed to the Austrian national team and took part in a long runaway attempt by a top ten group in the road race.

His best result of his following career was seventh place at the Austrian championships in the road race of the elite in 2011. At the end of the 2012 season, Sokoll ended his cycling career to study and become a teacher.
