Albert Koch (music journalist)

Albert Koch (born October 7, 1962 in Coburg ) is a music journalist from Neustadt b. Cbg. , living in Berlin. His father was Albert Koch, a former member of the Bavarian state parliament . He has been editor since 1994 and editor-in-chief of Musikexpress magazine since 2015 . As the so-called record master , he was responsible for the review section for several years . To this he contributes the columns The Singles and Boom Tschak . Koch is an expert in electro music .

In 2003 Koch wrote the biography The Music Makers - Kraftwerk about the Düsseldorf band Kraftwerk , which was published by Hannibal Verlag . He also wrote the book Fuck Forever - The Death of Indie Rock in 2007 , which was also published by Hannibal and deals with the blurring of the terms independent and mainstream in pop culture .
