Albert Kriemler

Albert Kriemler (* 1960 ) is a Swiss designer and creative director at the Swiss fashion label Akris .

biography

His father was the textile entrepreneur Max Kriemler (1922–2017), under whose direction the Akris fashion company experienced its decisive growth. In 1980 Albert Kriemler began his apprenticeship at Akris and has been co-owner and creative director of Akris since 1987, together with his brother Peter. The Akris collection has been presented at Paris Fashion Week since 2004.

In addition to the creation of his ready-to-wear collection, Kriemler created the costumes for the ensemble of the Vienna Philharmonic in 2005/06 and for the staging of Richard Strauss' “Josephs Legende” by Richard Strauss in 2008 for the Hamburg Ballet.

Awards

Albert Kriemler was awarded the Grand Prix Design of the Federal Office of Culture ( Switzerland ) in 2008 for his achievements as the most important international ambassador for fashion creations. In 2009 Kriemler received the Merit award for his lifetime achievement and in 2010 the star award for fashion design at the Fashion Group International Awards in New York.
