Albert LaMadeleine

(JO) Albert LaMadeleine (born March 10, 1905 in Valleyfield , † June 4, 1986 in Montreal ) was a Canadian fiddle player.

La Madeleine was trained by his father, JO LaMadeleine . At the age of 17, he began performing at dance events in the Northwest United States. He later went to Montreal. There he worked for an oil company, but continued to perform as a musician. From 1929 he recorded nine records with RCA Victor . Further recordings with his father were made on the Starr label .

In the 1930s he appeared on the radio with a trio that included harmonica player Henri Lacroix . On the Bonanza label he released three LPs under the name JO Albert LaMadeleine in the 1970s ( Trois Petits Coups d'archet , Volume 2 and Le Réel Mirabel ).
