Albert Lange (architect)

Albert Lange (born June 14, 1891 in Hanover , † January 16, 1945 in Gelsenkirchen ) was a German architect and association director of the Ruhr coal district settlement association .

Life

Albert Lange studied at the Technical University of Hanover , was seriously wounded in the war in 1916 and was a government builder in 1919. After working at the building authority of the city of Mannheim, he became a freelance architect in 1921 and the following year city planning officer at the city administration of Bottrop, where he later became a technical assistant. In 1934 he joined the Ruhr Coal District Settlement Association, initially handling settlement issues and in 1936 head of the technical department. On March 10, 1937, Lange was appointed association director. He died in an air raid towards the end of World War II.
