Albert Nordengen (born May 2, 1923 in Våler , † December 18, 2004 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian politician and mayor of the Norwegian capital Oslo from 1976 to 1990.

Nordengen started his political career in 1952 in Oslo's city council. He was active there until 1991. In 1954 he was chairman of the national association of the youth organization of the Høyre party, from 1954 to 1961 deputy in Storting and from 1967 to 1976 chairman of the Høyre faction in Oslo's city council. From 1972 he was local councilor for education and culture and finally mayor from 1976 to 1990.

Nordengen was awarded the St. Hallvard Medal , the highest honor in the city of Oslo, and the honorary award "Bypatrioten" (city patriot). In the district of Tøyen , a bronze bust has been commemorating the politician since 2002, it was designed by the artist Nina Sundbye. In 2012, Albert Nordengens plass was named after him in the port district of Tjuvholmen , and a bronze bust of Sundbye was also placed here.
