Albert Paxmann

Albert Paxmann (born March 8, 1908 in Süpplingen ; † September 27, 1974 in Wahrenholz ) was a Lower Saxony politician ( SPD ) and member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Paxmann attended elementary school in Süpplingen and Rautheim between 1914 and 1922. After leaving school, he began an apprenticeship as a locksmith. From 1934 he was employed by Mühlenbau- und Industrie AG in Braunschweig. In the Second World War he was involved as a soldier in Russia from 1942 until the end of the war. He got into English captivity from which he was released at the end of 1945. He became a member of the works council in 1953.

Public offices

Paxmann was a member of the council of the municipality of Rautheim from 1946. Furthermore, with a few interruptions, he was mayor of the municipality of Rautheim for a period of twelve years. Since 1952 he was also a member of the district council of the Braunschweig district . Here he was from 1961 chairman of the SPD district parliamentary group. From 1963 to 1964 he was deputy district administrator.

In the sixth and seventh electoral terms he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from June 6, 1967 to June 20, 1974.
