Albert Ramaj

Albert Ramaj (* 1971 in Kosovo ) is head of the Albanian Institute in St. Gallen .

Ramaj studied philosophy and catholic theology in Zagreb , Graz , Vienna and Lucerne . He published publications, especially on Albanian topics, as well as translations into Albanian and German . The main topics of his work include religions in the Balkans, Catholic Church in Kosovo and Albania , crypto-Christianity in Kosovo, Jews in the Balkans (especially Albania and Kosovo), Islam in the Balkans, the Kanun , migration and integration. He worked as an editor for various magazines.

Ramaj lives with his wife Kristina and their son in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
