Albert Riedel

Albert Richard Riedel (born May 5, 1911 in Dresden , † 1984 ) was a German - American later representative of alchemy , who called himself Frater Albertus (also Albertus Spagyricus).

In 1929 Riedel went to Salt Lake City in the USA , where he joined a New Rosicrucian Order ( AMORC ). He founded the Paracelsus Research Society in Salt Lake City in 1960 and Paracelsus College in 1980. He combined mythical aspects of alchemy and spagyric with Kabbalah and astrology and also gave courses in Europe and Australia. His school was closed after his death in 1984.

In 1998 he gave the practice spagyrica philosophica lapidis philosophorum ( or clear and sincere instructions, like the ancient wise men, to produce their highest secret or stone ) by an anonymous author, published in Leipzig in 1711, in German and English translation.
