Albert Saunier

Albert Saunier (born January 11, 1880 in Stettin , † 1932 in Berlin ) was a German diplomat.

Life

Albert Saunier studied law at the Universities of Lausanne, Heidelberg, Erlangen, Munich and Bonn. In 1901 he became a member of the Corps Onoldia in Erlangen . After a doctorate to Dr. jur. as well as legal trainee and assessor exams, he was taken on in the foreign service in 1908. In 1910 he became Vice Consul in Singapore, then in Bombay and Cape Town. After taking part in the First World War, he returned to the Foreign Office from 1918 to 1921, initially as a consul and from 1919 as Minister Müller's office manager . From 1921 to 1925 he headed the consulate general in Zurich and the embassy in Vienna. After returning to the Foreign Office in 1926, he was appointed lecturer in the Legation Council. When he died in 1932, he was ambassador.
