Albertinen artificial pond

The Albertinen-Kunstteich is a listed pond in Harzgerode in the Harz in Saxony-Anhalt .

The pond is located west of the Harzgeroder old town, south of Silberhüttenweg and Neue Straße.

The artificial pond was created at the end of the 17th century for the Albertine silver mine. In the east-west direction it extends over about 200 meters with a width of up to 60 meters. It is considered to be an important testimony to the mining history of the region.

In the local register of monuments , the pond is listed as an architectural monument under registration number 094 50067 .
