Alberto Macías (born December 28, 1969 in Guadalajara , Jalisco ) is a retired Mexican football player on the position of defender .

career

Macías began his professional career in the 1990/91 season with Deportivo Toluca FC , where he was under contract throughout the 1990s. In his last years at Toluca he won the Mexican league three times with the Diablos Rojos .

In the summer of 2000 he signed with the CD Cruz Azul and from then on changed clubs every six months to yearly.

In the World Cup qualifier against Canada (0-0) on November 15, 2000, he made his debut in the dress of the Mexican national team , for which he played in three other international matches in January and February 2001.
