Alberto Regazzoni (born May 4, 1983 in Lugano ) is a Swiss football player . The striker has been under contract with AC Sementina since 2018.

Career

Alberto Regazzoni started his career at FC Lugano . He stayed there until the 2002/03 season before moving to Malcantone Agno. Here he stayed for two seasons until he switched to league rivals FC Sion , where he immediately established himself as a regular player. The highlight of his career so far was the surprising win of the Swiss Cup in the 2005/06 season with the then second-class FC Sion.

Regazzoni made his debut as a national football player on September 2, 2006 in the match between Switzerland and Venezuela . In the summer of 2007, Regazzoni moved to BSC Young Boys , where he could not really assert himself under coach Martin Andermatt . After his dismissal, Vladimir Petković took over and Alberto Regazzoni played an important role in his 3-4-3 system as a very fast, nimble winger. After he only made twelve appearances in the first half of the 2010/11 season, he moved to FC St. Gallen in winter .
