Albrecht Mann (building historian)

Albrecht Mann (born November 7, 1925 in Dresden , † December 5, 2003 in Aachen ) was Professor of Building History at RWTH Aachen University .

Albrecht Mann received his doctorate in art history from the Free University of Berlin in 1952 . Since 1956 he worked at the RWTH. Here he was appointed private lecturer in building history on May 9, 1963 and promoted to scientific councilor and professor on February 29, 1968. Since January 1, 1987 he has held the title of university professor. After his retirement on March 1, 1991, he continued his research, teaching and examinations in building history.
