At the German Acupuncture Trials (GERAC Trials), the world's largest acupuncture studies at the time, he was one of eight members of the coordination, management committee and team of authors for the main publications. In particular, he was involved in the development of the methodology and training of 550 outpatient test centers. Internationally, the studies influenced the reassessment of acupuncture in pain therapy.
