Albrecht Papenroth

Albrecht Papenroth (born December 30, 1939 in Spremberg ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 1994 to 2002 he was a member of the German Bundestag .

Life

After completing secondary school, Papenroth first worked as a skilled worker and then attended the technical college, which he graduated with a degree in business administration (FH). He then graduated from the Technical University of Dresden with a degree in civil engineering (TU). He then did basic military service and then worked as a company electrician / energetic and economist for research and development. He was also the economic manager of a farm, director of housing and most recently until 1990 managing director of a Spremberg housing company.

Papenroth has been a member of the union since 1954. After many trade union mergers, he was most recently a member of IG BCE . Since December 1990 he has also been a member of the SPD in the Spremberg local association, the city of which he was also a city councilor, until he was elected to the German Bundestag in 1994, to which he belonged for two legislative periods until 2002.

Papenroth entered the Bundestag in 1994 and 1998 through a direct mandate in the Senftenberg - Calau - Spremberg constituency .
