William Krause, who lived in a loop during the summer months from 1902 to 1912 , found a large number of impressions in the Sorbian and Upper Lusatian culture as well as in customs, which he immortalized in his works. His paintings show the everyday life of the Sorbs , but also their parades and weddings.
In 1906 Krause became the first German artist to join Maćica Serbska .
