Albykistan is a staggered stone box ( Swedish Hällkista ) from the Neolithic period , which dates back to around 1800 BC. Is dated. Four C14 dates confirm the age. It is located in Alby , a suburb of Botkyrka , south of Stockholm . There are only seven known stone boxes in the Stockholm area.

Albykistan is located between Länsväg 258 and an industrial area. Immediately to the north there is a section of the old Tingsvägen that leads to the meeting place Svartlöten.

The Albykistan, built from flat stone slabs, is about four meters long and two meters wide. The original covering of the box, which can no longer be verified, may have been carried out using stone slabs or wooden beams.

In 1999, the box was examined at its original location, about 400 meters northwest. During the Neolithic Age, the area between Fittja and Alby was about 20 meters higher than it is today and was an island landscape.

Several people were buried in the box. At least one of them was buried unburned. The burnt bones of a small child were found in the filling floor of the grave. The stone box contained arrowheads , scrapers, and flint chips .

Nearby is Hallunda Gård's Röse .
