The White Villa in Bielefeld in East Westphalia in North Rhine-Westphalia is a cultural monument .

history

It was built in 1852 by the architect Ferdinand von Arnim , a student of Schinkel , on behalf of Heinrich Niedergassel, a co-founder of the Ravensberger spinning mill . After Niedergassel's death, the White Villa was used as a residence for the authorized signatories and later for other employees of the spinning mill. In 1999 it became part of the Huelsmann Museum and was extensively renovated by 2013. As part of the former factory, the villa is now part of the corresponding industrial monument .
