history

Creation of the company

On October 1st, the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise division was separated from the parent company Alcatel-Lucent as a new private company . China Huaxin Post and Telecommunication Economy Development Center (later renamed China Huaxin Post and Telecom Technologies), the investor, acquired 85% of the shares for EUR 202 million (US $ 254 million), while Alcatel-Lucent retained 15% of the shares.

In 2019 Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise celebrated its 100th anniversary. The company was founded in 1919 when Aaron Weil invented the home phone.

Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise continues to use the Alcatel-Lucent brand name, but now under a license from Nokia , which Alcatel-Lucent acquired in 2015.
