The Aldan Rock is a triangular and up to 15 m high cliff rock in the South Bay of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is the largest of a group of rocks east of Hannah Point .
Aerial photographs were taken between 1956 and 1957 during the Falkland Islands and Dependencies Aerial Survey Expedition . The designation was made by the UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee in 2003. The further naming background has not been passed down.
