The Aldebaran Rock is a distinctive nunatak made of light, reddish rock in the West Antarctic Palmerland . It rises near the head of the Bertram Glacier and 8 km northeast of the Pegasus Mountains .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it the star Aldebaran , the brightest star in the constellation Taurus .
