Aleksandra Kovač ( Serbian - Cyrillic Александра Ковач ; * 1974 in Belgrade , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian singer , composer , songwriter , arranger and producer.

biography

She is the daughter of the Serbian composer Kornelije Kovač . Aleksandra composed her first songs at the age of 15 and played the piano with them.

She founded the band K2 with her younger sister Kristina and signed her first record deal early on. They went to London and started their first tour as the opening act for Labi Siffre . The duo performed in numerous well-known clubs in London.

In 1998 Aleksandra decided to pursue a solo career, this time not only as a singer and composer, but also as an arranger and producer.
