Alert rock

The alert skirt is a flooded reef 2.4 kilometers east-southeast of Barff Point before the east side of the entrance to Cumberland Bay and 1.2 km off the north coast of South Georgia .

Discovery Investigations scientists mapped the rock in 1929 and named it after the motorboat Alert they used to survey the coast of South Georgia.
