An Andromeda A6

The Andromeda A6 is an analog synthesizer from the US manufacturer Alesis .

history

Despite the then rather weak demand for fully analog synthesizers , Alesis presented the Andromeda A6 in 2000, making it the trendsetter in the subsequent comeback of analog synthesizers and their clones. After devices like the Roland TB-303 experienced a second spring and the synthesizer manufacturer Moog was resurrected, the company hit the nerve of the times with the instrument almost punctually. Which means that although it was able to establish itself fairly quickly among lovers of analog synthesizer technology, it did not really become a bestseller in the following years. Compared to other instruments of a similar type, the Andromeda A6 is probably one of the most extensive in terms of the wealth of functions.

description

General

Thanks to its special components, the Andromeda A6 is largely tuned and has an unusually large number of functions compared to other instruments in this category, and is therefore an alternative to voluminous modular synthesizers . That is precisely why he also has a large following such as B. Depeche Mode , Nine Inch Nails , Duran Duran , The Crystal Method , Pet Shop Boys , BT and Tiësto . The components are supplied by well-known manufacturers and produce a full sound with versatile sound design options. At the start of production, a version limited to 250 pieces with a red control panel was delivered (standard model: blue).
