The Spilomelinae are a large subfamily of the Crambidae from the order of the butterflies . So far, over 4,100 species in 340 genera have been described worldwide.

features

The spilomelinae are characterized by a number of reduction features. The monophyly has not yet been proven. A multiple independent reduction of the characteristics seems possible.

Systematics

The Spilomelinae are represented in Europe with 101 species in 30 genera. In Central Europe around 30 species in 13 genera have been detected so far.
