Alessandra Macinghi

Alessandra Macinghi (* 1407, † 1471 ) was an Italian writer .

Alessandra Macinghi came from a Florentine family. Her parents died prematurely. She was married to Matteo Strozzi from the Strozzi family, with whom she had Filippo Strozzi as a son.

Several dozen letters have survived from her as a writer, edited by Cesare Guasti in 1877 . These letters describe domestic life in 15th century Italy, especially the lives of female family members.
