Sergei Sergejewitsch Smirnow (skeleton pilot)
Sergei Sergejewitsch Smirnow ( Russian Сергей Сергеевич Смирнов ; born July 24, 1985 in Krasnoyarsk , Soviet Union ) is a Russian skeleton driver .
Sergei Smirnow made his debut in November 2006 in Igls (24th) in a race of the Skeleton European Cup at international level in skeleton sport. In the following time the Russian was able to improve steadily. A year later he was able to achieve a result in the top ten for the first time in seventh place. Two races later, he won his first European Cup race in Cesana .
