Alessandro Ademollo

Alessandro Ademollo (born November 20, 1826 in Florence , † June 22, 1891 ibid) was an Italian historian and music writer.

Life

Ademollo worked mainly on Italian theater and opera history. In particular, he studied the history of theater in Rome and Florence. He also conducted historical studies of little-known aspects of Italian society in the 17th and 18th centuries, such as studies of the Carnival in Rome of that time.
