Alessandro Momo (born November 26, 1956 in Rome , † November 19, 1974 , ibid) was an Italian actor .

life and career

Alessandro Momo worked as an actor from an early age, including for photo novels . He became famous for the comedy Malizia by Salvatore Samperi , in which, as a 14-year-old boy from a wealthy family, he chases the maid who wants to marry his father. The maid played Laura Antonelli , an Italian sex symbol of the 1970s. Antonelli and Momo played together again in 1974 in Der Filou under Samperi's direction, where Antonelli wanted to marry his older brother, but got into erotic entanglements with Momo's character again. Another success for him in a different genre was the police film Lost and Found , in which he played the son of a commissioner. In his last film The Scent of Women by Dino Risi , he played the second leading role of a young soldier who accompanied Vittorio Gassman's figure of a blind officer for a week.

After Malizia, Momo was considered one of the greatest talents in Italian film and, despite a manageable number of films, almost a star. A week before his 18th birthday, shortly after the filming of The Scent of Women ended, Momo, riding a Honda CB 750 Four motorcycle , collided with a taxi in Rome and died. The police were investigating against his friend, actress Eleonora Giorgi , who had lent him her motorcycle despite being a minor. Momo is buried next to his father, who died in 2000, on Campo Verano .
