Alex Atapuma
Alex Atapuma (born May 22, 1984 in Túquerres ) is a Colombian racing cyclist .
Alex Atapuma won a stage in the Vuelta de la Juventud in 2005. In 2007 he finished third and second in the Vuelta Ciclista a la Republica del Ecuador . With the help of these results, he was able to win the overall ranking. Atapuma has been driving for the Colombian Continental Team Colombia es Pasion Coldeportes since 2008 . In his first year there, he was fourth on a section of the Vuelta a Guatemala .
In 2006 Atapuma tested positive for cocaine and was banned for two years for doping .
