Alex Feil (2009)

Alex Feil (born August 19, 1977 ) is a German director and editor .

Alex Feil grew up in a makeup artist family. During his school days he earned his pocket money at ZDF as an assistant editor and production assistant. After graduating from high school, he applied unsuccessfully to the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy in the field of directing, and then started as an editor. He worked on documentaries for television, including Holokaust (D, 2000) by Guido Knopp . In 2000 he focused on post-production in the field of commercials . For the next five years he established himself nationally as a freelance editor and post-production supervisor. In 2004, his animated film "e-motion capture" won the Animago Award and was recognized as the best animated film by the Association of German Advertisers. During this time he celebrated success as a director of the short films "Menschlich" and "Kubrick's odyssey 2001".

Since 2006 he has concentrated his work on advertising. Among other things, the promotional video coming home , which went viral in 2015, comes from Feil.

Alex Feil lives in Los Angeles.
