Alex Leapai (* 16th October 1979 in Samoa as Elise Leapai ) is a former Australian - Samoan boxer in the heavyweight division.

After a rather mixed career start with two defeats and subsequent victories against rather unknown opponents, Alex Leapai was able to win his first international title in December 2012 by technical knockout (KO) against Akmal Aslanow by winning the vacant WBO Asia-Pacific Belt. On November 23, 2013 he defeated Denis Boizow by a unanimous decision on points. This made him the WBO mandatory challenger of Wladimir Klitschko ; but he lost this fight on April 26, 2014 in Oberhausen by knockout in the fifth round.

Alex Leapai boxed against Manuel Charr in Moscow on May 22, 2015 . Leapai lost this fight unanimously on points. The fight was scheduled for 10 rounds.

In February 2016, Leapai announced his resignation.
