Alex MacLean

Alex S. MacLean (* 1947 ) is an American photographer, pilot and architect.

After graduating with a BA from Harvard College in 1969, he continued his education with a degree in architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design . Dealing with the field of urban planning aroused his interest in aerial photographs. In 1975 he got his pilot's license. Since then, he has been flying over the United States in a Cessna 182 and using his camera to document how the landscape is changing below him. In his recordings, he shows the influence of uncontrolled settlement construction and storms on natural conditions.
