Alexandre Raphael Meschini or simply Alex (born March 25, 1982 in Conélio Procópio ) is a Brazilian football player . He is known for his security on penalties and his precise long-range shots.

Career

Alex moved from Guarani to Internacional in March 2004 for the equivalent of around 500,000 euros , where he signed a four-year contract. From there he was transferred to Spartak Moscow in February 2009 for five million euros . His contract runs until December 2013.

National team

On October 12, 2008 Alex was substituted on in the game against Venezuela (4-0) in the 71st minute for Kaká . This was only followed by an eight-minute deployment in a friendly against Portugal (6-2).
