Alexander Alexandrowitsch Maximow ( Russian Александр Александрович Максимов; * 1891 , † June 28, 1976 ) was a Soviet philosopher and science historian .

Maximov studied until 1916 at the Institute of Physics and Mathematics at the University of Kazan . After the October Revolution he worked at the People's Commissariat for Education . In 1918 he became a member of the Communist Party . From 1922 he taught history of natural sciences and philosophy at Moscow University .
