Herbert Richard

Herbert Richard (born September 28, 1946 in Selters , Westerwald ) is a German executive director and politician ( CDU ).

Life

Richard attended the Ellenhausen elementary school and the Münstermaifeld secondary school. Then he did an apprenticeship as a mechanic and trained as a technician (industrial engineering) at REFA (Association for Work Design, Company Organization and Corporate Development). Until 1970 he worked as a mechanic and welder. 1972/73 he was head of a REFA department, 1973–1975 head of work preparation and 1975 head of materials management. In 1975 he graduated as an industrial clerk at the Wiesbaden Business Administration Academy and in 1976 received a degree in business administration (BWA). Since 1982 he was authorized signatory at Kunststoffwerk Höhn GmbH in Höhn and then managing director in companies in the plastics industry.

Richard was a member of the district board of the Junge Union Westerwald, deputy chairman of the CDU community association Wirges and a member of the district board of the CDU Westerwald.

From 1979 to 1984 he was a member of the Wirges municipal council, from 1979 a member of the Siershahn local council and from 1981 to 1984 local mayor of Siershahn .

On January 9, 1987, he replaced Karl Hoppe in the tenth state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate, to which he was a member until the end of the electoral term on June 2, 1987.
