Alexander Alexejewitsch Lapin ( Russian Александр Алексеевич Лапин ; born May 14, 1952 in Prochladny in the Kabardian ASSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian writer and publicist.

In 1973, Lapin was enrolled in the Faculty of Journalism of the Kazakh State University. He graduated with honors in 1978. Later he got a job with the magazine “Road Transport in Kazakhstan” and worked as a correspondent, general secretary, deputy editor-in-chief and finally as editor-in-chief.

In 1986 he moved to Komsomolskaya Pravda and from then on worked as the own reporter for the publishing company in Kazakhstan. A regional network of the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper was established under his leadership.

In 2000 he moved to Voronezh and founded his own newspaper business, which he managed as editor-in-chief and general director until 2010. His publishing house "Eurasia-Presse-21st Century", which includes over 20 publications, several printing companies and its own sales network, is active in eight major cities in central Russia.

Alexander Lapin has been working for regional television as the author and presenter of the weekly television program "The Russian Question" for over 10 years. Lapin currently lives in the village of Sennoye in the Voronezh region and continues his literary activity. He is known to the public primarily through his novel "Russian Cross".

Alexander Lapin is a member of the Writers' Union of Russia.

Lapin is head of the Voronezh Regional Representation of the Russian Peace Fund, Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on Local Self-Government, Public Relations and Mass Media in Voronezh, and President of the Voronezh Regional Federation for Traditional Fudokay Karate.
