Alexander Anatolyevich Petrenko

Alexander Anatoljewitsch Petrenko ( Russian Александр Анатольевич Петренко , scientific transliteration Aleksandr Anatol'evič Petrenko ; born February 4, 1976 in Alma-Ata , Soviet Union ; † July 21, 2006 in Samara ) was a Russian national basketball player .

The 2.05 m tall power forward played in the 2005/06 season with BK Chimki in the EuroCup final against DKV Joventut and scored 11 points and 5 rebounds in this game.

Alexander Petrenko died on July 22, 2006 after a car accident near the city of Samara, in which his wife and her parents were also killed. His daughter survived the accident seriously injured.
