Alexander Fathoullin (born August 26, 1995 in Iqaluit ) is a Canadian short tracker .

Career

Fathoullin had his first international success at the 2013 Junior World Championships in Warsaw . There he won silver with the relay over 3000 m. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he started in Montreal for the first time in the World Cup and finished 12th over 500 m and sixth place over 1000 m. At the following World Cup in Toronto he reached his first World Cup podiums with second place over 500 m. In the further course of the season he finished in Dresden over 1500 m and second place with the relay and third in Dordrecht with the relay. At the 2016 Short Track World Championships in Seoul , he won the silver medal with the relay.
