Alexander Golubjow (born March 27, 1964 ) is a former Soviet - Russian cross-country skier .

Career

Golubjow started internationally for the first time at the World Championships in February 1989 in Lahti . There he achieved 22nd place over 15 km freestyle. In the 1989/90 season he came into the points three times in four World Cup starts. In the Val di Fiemme he achieved his best individual placement in the World Cup with eighth place over 30 km and his best overall result with 26th place in the overall World Cup. In March 1990 he was also third in the relay at the World Cup in Vang . He completed his last World Cup races at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville . There he finished 17th over 50 km freestyle and 14th place over 30 km classic. The following year he won the Birkebeinerrennet .
