Alexander Ivanovich Poleschajew
Alexander Ivanovich Poleschajew ( Russian Александр Иванович Полежаев ., Scientific transliteration: Aleksandr Ivanovich Poležaev ; born August 30, jul. / 11. September 1804 greg. (According to other sources in 1805 ) in Pokryschkino ( Penza province ), today Mordovia , † January 16 July / 28th January 1838 greg. in Moscow ) was a Russian poet. Because of his satirical poem Saschka , Tsar Nicholas I personally sent him to military service for purification. An edition of his poems appeared in print in 1832.
