Alexander Jahnke (born April 29, 1987 in Lehrte ) is a German pop singer who gained notoriety through his participation in the casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar .

Life

Career

Jahnke grew up in Höver near Sehnde and completed an apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk.

Musical career

Jahnke began taking piano lessons, singing and playing guitar at a young age. At the same time he wrote his own songs. At the age of twenty he joined the regionally known Hanoverian punk rock band Call Me Names , where he acted as lead singer. With the band he recorded an EP ( Only in it for the beverage brands ) and played a. a. on the Rocken am Brocken Festival.

In 2017 he participated in the 14th season of the RTL - casting show Germany Idol part. He finished this in second place. With his final song Halt all Uhren an , he reached number 34 in the German single charts.

From October 2017 Jahnke played the main male role Danny Zuko in the anniversary tour of the musical Grease , which was performed in eleven German cities until May 2018.

For the Four Hills Tournament 2018/2019 he composed the official song Dein Wind with Ansgar Huppertz . This was performed by Jahnke at the jumping in Oberstdorf and Innsbruck.

Jahnke released the song We are ready , written with producer Ansgar Huppertz, in February 2020.

In April 2020 the song will follow again this song , which was created in collaboration with producers Jan Laacks and Johannes Lowien.
