Alex Jahnke (born April 6, 1969 in Arnsberg , Westphalia ) is a German writer of fantastic non-fiction books and novels .

life and work

After graduating from high school, Jahnke studied experimental physics in Paderborn . Today he works as a system administrator. He is married and lives in Burgwald (Waldeck-Frankenberg district). He works online under the pseudonym Cynx . He is interested in network politics and was a member of the Chaos Computer Club Germany. He has been in the fandom of the German fantastic scene since the 1980s, and is particularly active in steampunk . In 2008 he and Johanna Sievers founded the steampunk group Clockworker, of which he is editor-in-chief.
