Alexander Nikolayevich Jakupow
Alexander Nikolajewitsch Jakupow ( Russian Александр Николаевич Якупов ; born May 13, 1951 in Swetlogorsk, Agapovka district , Chelyabinsk Oblast ) is a Russian conductor and teacher, founder of the Magnitogorsk Ballet and Opera School in Moscow and director of the Moscow Central Music School .
Life
Yakupov became an Honored Cultural Worker of the Russian Federation in 1993 and a doctorate in art in 1995. He has been an honorary citizen of Magnitogorsk since 1997. The Rotary International Music Competition elected him chairman of the jury in 2003 and 2004. Since 2007 he has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Rotary International Music Competition.
