Alexander Pavlenko

Alexander Pavlenko (born July 4, 1963 in Ryazan , Soviet Union ) is a German - Russian illustrator and animator . He lives near Frankfurt.

Life

Pavlenko studied art, history and animation in Ryazan and Moscow. He then worked for various film studios and media companies (“Pilot”, “MultTeleFilm”) and illustrated science fiction and adventure novels, most recently also works by ETA Hoffmann , Oscar Wilde and Nikolai Leskow . He has lived and worked in Germany since 1992. His comics have been published in Germany, France, Japan, England and Russia. Most recently he and the French author Camille de Toledo published the graphic novel "Herzl - Eine Europäische Geschichte". In it they deal with the life and work of the inventor of Zionism , Theodor Herzl .
