Alexander Senger ( August 25, 1840 in Banghaden - February 23, 1902 in Menton ) was a German theater actor , director and manager.

Life

Senger was a youthful hero and lover, and from 1865 to 1868 he was engaged as an actor and director in Bremen, then in Darmstadt, at the Stadttheater in Vienna and from 1876 to 1882 at the Stadttheater Leipzig. From 1885 to 1893 he headed the city ​​theater in Bremen.

Senger was first married to the actress Maria Senger (died 1894). Heinz Senger and Viktor Senger , their children, also became actors. In 1895 he married the opera singer Katharina Bettaque .
