Alexander Trost (born May 12, 1981 ) is a former German handball player . He played in the handball Bundesliga for TV 1893 Neuhausen . His playing position was right winger .

Career

Alexander Trost started at TSV Dettingen in his youth. In 1995 he switched to VfL Pfullingen. With the team, Trost rose to the first division in 2002. When VfL had to file for bankruptcy in 2006 , he moved to the newly promoted Bundesliga HBW Balingen-Weilstetten . For the 2009/2010 season, Trost switched to TV 1893 Neuhausen, who was champion in the Regionalliga Süd in the 2008/2009 season and was promoted to the 2nd handball Bundesliga . With the TVN he rose to the first division in 2012. After the 2012/13 season he became sporting director at TVN, and in February 2014 took over the position of managing director as successor to Dieter König. He ended this position in July 2015.
